NEXT DAY BEEF STROGANOFF | |
3 lbs. beef sirloin, in strips 1 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 1/2 lb. mushrooms 2 1/4 c. beef broth 6 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 6 tsp. sherry 3/4 c. flour 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 pt. sour cream Saute mushrooms in butter. Remove. Brown meat in same pan. When browned, simmer in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and sherry. Simmer until tender, add mushrooms and onions. Refrigerate for 24 hours. Before serving, heat and thicken with flour and water, salt and pepper. Add sour cream just prior to serving. Serves 12. |
