VANILLA RAISIN COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt

Cook raisins and water together until liquid is absorbed. Cool.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time; beat after each. Mix in vanilla and raisins.

Sift together rest of ingredients and mix in. Drop by spoonful into granulated sugar. Bake on greased sheets, 350 degrees, 10 minutes.
