CHEWY COCONUT COOKIES 
3 c. flaked coconut
1 1/3 c. Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
1 c. ground nuts
Candied cherries, nuts
1 cupcake or fresh bread crumbs
2 tsp. almond extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine coconut and bread crumbs. Stir in condensed milk, nuts, and extract; mix well. Drop by teaspoons onto paper-lined sheet pans. Gently press fruit or nuts into center of each cookie. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Immediately remove from pan. Store in loosely covered dish and at room temperature. Makes 3 dozen.
