FRENCH TOAST 
8 slices French bread, 3/4 inch thick
4 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. Grand Marnier or orange juice
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. butter
Powdered sugar

Arrange the bread in a single layer in a 12 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. Beat eggs with milk, juice, sugar and vanilla until well blended. Pour over bread. Turn slices to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Melt butter in skillet and saute bread until golden, about 4 minutes each side. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
