SCALLOPED ONIONS 
5 or 6 lg. onions
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 c. milk
8 oz. grated sharp cheese

TOPPING:

butter
Pe pperidge Farm herb stuffing

Thinly slice onions and saute in 1/2 stick butter in large pan. In saucepan melt remaining 1/2 stick butter and stir in flour and seasonings. Slowly stir in milk. Cook slowly to thicken. Stir in cheese and allow to melt but do not boil. Put onions in baking dish and pour sauce over to cover all. Sprinkle top with Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix and dot with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
