SCALLOPED ONIONS 
6 med. sized onions, boiled
1 1/2 c. white sauce
1 c. buttered bread crumbs

Cut boiled onions in quarters. Put into well buttered baking dish, cover with white sauce, sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs and bake in 350 degree oven until crumbs are brown.

WHITE SAUCE:

2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Melt butter, add flour mixed with seasonings, stir until well blended. Pour on milk gradually while stirring constantly. Bring to boiling point. Boil 2 minutes.
