RICE KRISPIE BARS I 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup

Bring to boil, remove and add:

1 c. chunky peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
6 c. Rice Krispies

Press in 9 x 13 inch buttered cake pan.

Melt:

6 oz. butterscotch chips
6 oz. chocolate chips

VARIATION I: SPECIAL K BARS - Add 1/2 cup melted butter, increase peanut butter to 1 1/4 cups, increase cereal to 7 cups - substitute Special K for Rice Krispies.

VARIATION II: Frost with 1 (12 ounce) bag of chocolate chips mix with peanut butter

VARIATION III: Decrease sugar to 1/2 cup.

VARIATION IV: Delete vanilla. Substitute Special K for Rice Krispies.

VARIATION V: Delete vanilla.

VARIATION VI: Increase peanut butter to 1 1/2 cups. Add salted peanuts, if desired use Rice Krispies or Special K.

VARIATION VII: Increase peanut butter to 1 1/2 cups. Substitute 7 cups crushed corn flakes. Top with 12 ounces melted chocolate chips.

VARIATION VIII: Substitute white sugar with brown sugar, Special K cereal for Rice Krispies, increase chips to 12 ounces each.
