CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
5 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts (optional)

GLAZE:

3 oz. (1/2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. water
1 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
Dash of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla and nuts. Put in greased 10 inch tube pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours in 325 degree oven.

For Glaze: Melt chocolate and butter in water; add remaining ingredients.
