SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
2 3/4 c. sugar
6 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
3 c. flour
1 c. sour cream
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. walnuts
1/2 c. brown sugar

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Add vanilla. Add alternately the sour cream and sifted dry ingredients. Mix chips, nuts and brown sugar; set aside. Pour 1/3 batter into greased and wax lined tube pan. Sprinkle half the nut mixture over batter. Repeat 2 layers. Pour remaining batter over top and bake at 350 degrees 1 hour 20 minutes. Yields 16 servings.
