OLD FAVORITE CHOCOLATE POUND
CAKE
 
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. cocoa
1 c. milk
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, Crisco, sugar and eggs. Add 1/2 flour and cocoa. Add 1/2 milk. Add remainder of flour. Add remainder of milk with salt and baking powder mixed in it. Add vanilla. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees in large tube pan.

ICING:

2 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. canned milk
1 stick butter

Cook about 10 minutes or to soft ball stage. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup marshmallow creme.

CHOCOLATE ICING:

2 c. sugar
1 sm. can evaporated milk
10 lg. marshmallows
1 stick butter
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
