BILL'S BAKED BEANS
This recipe was created in 1995 by my husband for family reunions. It is full of flavor!

6 large cans baked beans (Van Camps)
1 large Vidalia onion
1 lb. bacon
2 tbsp. red pepper flakes
2 tbsp. onion powder
2 tbsp. paprika
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 tbsp. molasses
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups BBQ Sauce

Pour beans including the sauce into a large flat baking dish. Cut bacon into bite size pieces. Chop onion small. Sauté onion and bacon until cooked and slightly browned.

Pour bacon, onion and bacon grease and all other ingredients into beans. Stir well and bake for 3 hours on 375°F uncovered or until thickened.

Note: These beans are meant to be thick and not soupy.

Allow to cool for 30 minutes to allow to thicken upon standing.
