STRAWBERRY PRESERVES 
4 lbs. berries
6 c. sugar

Select ripe sound berries. Wash and hull. Add the sugar to the strawberries and heat gently until sugar dissolves and juice is drawn from the berries. Cook rapidly until the fruit is plump and transparent and the syrup is thick. Put into clean hot jars and seal immediately. Very good.
