WHITE BROWNIES 
3/4 c. broken nut meats
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. brown sugar, pressed down in cup
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. butter
Pinch of salt

FROSTING:

1 tbsp. butter
1 c. confectioners sugar
Thin cream and vanilla

Melt butter, stir in sugar and cook until melted. Cool. Stir in unbeaten egg and mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar, butter, egg mixture. Then add vanilla and nuts. Bake in a greased paper lined square pan in 325 degree oven for 25 minutes. Cool in pan, cut in squares and ice with the following frosting.

FROSTING: Melt butter, add confectioners sugar and vanilla to taste and enough thin cream to spread.

For 13 x 9 pan, double recipe.
