IVY'S OATMEAL CRISPY COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water with 1 tsp. baking soda (mix together)
3 c. oatmeal (quick)
1 c. flour

Mix in order. Chill dough. Roll into balls and press with fork. Tip: Dip fork into water before pressing - this will help the dough not stick to fork. Bake 350 degrees 10-12 minutes. Watch - they brown fast.
