SPICY BLACK EYED PEAS 
1 (16 oz.) bag dried black eyed peas
5 c. water
2 tbsp. minced green onions
1 tbsp. Creole seasoning
1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
3 chicken flavored bouillon cubes

Sort and wash peas; place in large Dutch oven. Add water to cover peas 2". Let soak 8 hours. Drain peas and return to Dutch oven. Add 5 cups of water and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour or until tender. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.
