GRANDMA'S APPLE CRISP 
4 c. sliced apples
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)

Cut apples into 1/4-inch slices and place in buttered baking dish or pan. Add cinnamon and water. Work sugar, flour and butter together until crumbly. Spread over apples and bake uncovered 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Yield: 6 servings.
