FROSTED OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. instant oatmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. chopped walnuts (optional)

Cream sugars and butter, add eggs and vanilla. Combine all dry ingredients and then add to creamed mixture. Form into small balls the size of a walnut. Place on greased baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes or until brown.

Frost while still warm with a mixture of confectioners' sugar, milk and vanilla or frost with melted Hershey candy bars.

Note: Cookies can also be rolled and cut out with your favorite shapes.
