SQUASH CASSEROLE 
1 1/2 lb. squash
Salt and pepper to taste
Pinch of sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. bacon drippings
2 eggs (well beaten)
1 c. grated cheese
3 tbsp. minced onion
4 strips bacon (fried crisp and crumbled)
Dry bread crumbs

Cook squash in a little salted water until tender. Drain, mash with a fork. Add rest of ingredients, except bread crumbs. Place in a lightly greased baking dish. Top with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
