GREEK STEW 
3 lbs. stew meat
2 tbsp. butter
3 lbs. sm. whole onions
Salt and pepper

SAUCE:

1 can tomato paste
1 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1/3 c. red table wine
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1 cinnamon stick

Melt butter and just coat meat in the butter. Place whole onions on top of meat. Mix sauce ingredients and pour over meat and onions. Simmer 2 1/2 to 3 hours. You can add turnips, carrots, or whatever vegetable you prefer. Serve with French bread and salad.
