SWEET FREEZER PICKLES 
2 qt. cucumbers, sliced thin
2 tbsp. salt
2 med. onions, sliced thin
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vinegar

Mix first 3 ingredients and let stand 2 hours.

Make syrup of sugar and vinegar. Boil until sugar is melted. When cool, set aside in refrigerator. After the 2 hours the cucumber mixture has been sitting, pack cucumbers into containers. Pour cold syrup over cucumber. Cover and freeze. Add 1/2 teaspoon of celery seed if desired. Makes 3 pints.
