GERMAN SWEET AND SOUR CABBAGE 
1 med. red cabbage
2 cooking apples
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 c. raisins
Salt and pepper to taste

Shred cabbage finely. Peel, core and chop apples. Combine cabbage and apples with remaining ingredients in casserole. Bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour. Stirring occasionally.
