MINNIE PEARL SWEET PICKLES 
1 1/2 qt. jar dill pickles, drained and sliced
3 c. sugar
2 tbsp. mixed pickling spice
2 tbsp. crushed red pepper
3 or 4 cloves garlic, crushed

Put dill pickles in large bowl and add sugar. Put pickling spice, red pepper, and garlic in cheese cloth. Tie and place in center of pickles. Stir once a day for about 7 days. After 1 week, refrigerate. Wait 7 full days for best flavor. Take spices out and store in refrigerator. You may add green food coloring.
