POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 stick butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
6 eggs
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 1/4 c. sweet milk

Blend together sugar, Crisco, and butter. Add flavoring. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour and milk, beating until well blended, about 7 minutes. Cook at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. (Add 3 tablespoons of cocoa for chocolate pound cake).
