PUMPKIN NUT BREAD 
1 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. pumpkin
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 egg
2 tbsp. soft butter
1 c. chopped pecans

Sift flour, soda, salt and spices. Combine pumpkin, sugar, buttermilk and egg in mixing bowl. Add dry ingredients and butter. Beat well, until blended. Stir in nuts. Spread in well-greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
