CHOCOLATE PARADISE PIE 
3 egg whites
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. pecan halves
10 crushed soda crackers
1/4 tsp. salt

FILLING:

1 c. semi sweet chocolate chips
3 egg yolks
1 tbsp. Kahlua or 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. milk
Pinch of salt
1 c. whipping cream
Chocolate shavings

Crust: Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Gradually add sugar and salt. Fold in nuts and crackers. Spoon into a 9 inch glass, greased pie plate. Form into shape of pan but do not cover edges. Bake 35 to 40 minutes.

Filling: Put chocolate chips, yolk, Kahlua and salt in a blender. Heat milk just to boiling and add to blender. Blend low 1 minute. Pour into prepared crust and chill until firm. Serve with whipped cream spread on top of pie. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate.
