These were delicious! Tender and tasty! I added about 1/4 cup of Fryin' Magic seasoned coating mix to the bread crumb mixture because I like the flavor that it adds, and used chicken broth in lieu of the water. Served them with mashed potatoes and green bean casserole. A definite addition to my "Keeper" file. Thank you for sharing!

Mine are in the crockpot now and boy do they smell great. I added 1/2 cup of sweet white wine with a teaspoon of chicken broth powder added to it and a 1/4 cup of water. I may thicken the sauce when it's done (not sure yet) but so far they look and smell fantastic.

Came out so soft and tasty. I love it. I threw in 5 chunks of cut up persimmons that I had on had. It gave the broth a wonderful taste.

The directions say to put 1/2 water into the crock pot. Is this measurement correct? 1/2 what? I really want to try this recipe.
