GREEN BEANS WITH SWISS CHEESE 
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. grated onion
1/2 c. sour cream
2 (16 oz.) cans green beans, drained
1 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1/3 c. cornflake crumbs
1 tbsp. melted butter

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in skillet. Blend in flour, salt, sugar and pepper. Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in onion and sour cream. Add green beans and cheese to sauce; mix well. Spoon into buttered 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cornflake crumbs; drizzle with remaining 1 tablespoon butter. Bake for 20 minutes. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
