PLEASE MAKE THOSE BURRITOS AGAIN! | |
I know this sounds like a lot (easier than it looks), but trust me they are great!! BEEF AND BEAN MIXTURE: 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 (15 oz.) can refried beans 1 pkg. taco seasoning POTATO AND VEG MIXTURE: 1 cup pre-made hash browns cubes (tater tots) 1/2 yellow onion 1/2 green pepper 1 jalapeno 1/2 clove garlic 1 tbsp. olive oil RICE MIXTURE: 1 box Spanish rice 1/2 red tomato TOPPINGS AND THINGS: extra-large burrito shells dairy sour cream taco sauce Mexican blend shredded cheese green onions guacamole diced tomatoes butter I'm going to give this to you step by step. It comes out the best this way. Rice Mixture.. Start by making the rice mixture. It takes about 30 minutes to cook, so do it first. Just follow the directions on the box but add a 1/2 of a diced tomato. Set aside. Potato Mixture.. Start to brown the hash browns in olive oil. Finely dice the onions, peppers, jalapenos, and garlic. Add vegetable mixture when potatoes are cooked half way though. Salt and pepper to taste. Set aside. Beef and Bean Mixture.. Brown beef and drain (larger chunks work the best). Mix in water and taco seasoning as to the season directions. When the water evaporates 50%, mix in the can of refried beans. Continue to cook until semi-stiff. Set aside. After all mixtures are finished, spoon each mixture (or mix together) into extra-large burrito shell with some cheese and fold. Butter each side of the burrito and brown both sides. Top with a layer of cheese, taco sauce, a dollop of dairy sour cream and guacamole, then diced tomatoes and green onions. Remember these things... Cooking is fast, ART takes time. Presentation is KEY, make it look good. And finally just have FUN and ENJOY! Submitted by: Please Make That Again! |
