ELKE'S GERMAN CHEESE CAKE | |
1 c. sugar 1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 grated lemon rind 1 tbsp. lemon juice 2 drops vanilla Dash salt 8 eggs, separate eggs 3 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese Cream egg yolks and sugar; then add balance of ingredients. Whip egg whites - carefully fold in. Do not over do folding in. Bake center rack for 1 hour at 350 degrees. After the hour let cake stand in oven for 20 minutes with heat turned off. Use springform pan. |
