DIANE'S CHERRY SQUARES 
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. almond extract
3 c. flour
1 lg. can cherry pie filling

Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time. Stir in both extracts. With a spoon stir in flour. Grease a cookie sheet. Put 3/4 of batter on sheet. Spread evenly. Spread pie filling on top.

Drop rest of batter by teaspoonfuls on top. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into squares.
