DIANE'S HERSHEY CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 (16 oz.) can Hershey chocolate syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat. Alternate flour (mixed with baking powder and salt) and syrup. Beat. Add vanilla and mix well. Pour into 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan that has been floured and buttered. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees

ICING:

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Have ready to pour over cake when you take it out of oven.

Melt butter, sugar, and milk in a pan over low heat, then bring to a boil and boil 2-3 minutes. Take off heat and add chips and vanilla. Beat to a smooth texture or leave slightly lumpy. Pour over hot cake immediately.
