SPICED PECANS 
5 c. pecans
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. water
3 tsp. vanilla

Put pecans in 350 degree preheated oven for 5 minutes. (Just warm them.) Put sugar, cinnamon and water in pot on stove and boil until thick or until dropped in a glass of cold water until hard ball. Take off heat; put in vanilla and add pecans. Stir real well. Grease waxed paper; lay out pecan mixture until cool, then separate.
