WHOLE WHEAT APPLE CAKE 
1 1/4 c. flour
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. oil
3 eggs
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. finely chopped apples
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix all ingredients (except apples and nuts). Beat 3 minutes at medium speed. By hand, stir in apples and nuts. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake 50-60 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool in pan. Top with glaze.

GLAZE:

1 c. apple cider
1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. butter

Boil. Pour over cool cake.
