FLOATING TACOS 
1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 pkg. shredded cheddar cheese
1 pkg. taco chips
1 lg. tomato chopped
1/2 head lettuce, shredded
1 pkg. sour cream
1 lg. onion, chopped
Black or green olives, sliced
Mild or hot taco sauce
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 c. hot cooked rice
1 green pepper, chopped (opt.)

In skillet fry hamburger until brown, add garlic salt, tomato sauce, taco seasoning and green peppers. Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally. Cook instant rice as directed on package, add rice to meat sauce and stir well. On large plate place a handful of taco chips, then layer meat and rice sauce, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, onion, olives, taco sauce and sour cream.
