DUTCH APPLE PIE | |
From the recipe files of the Stouffer Corporation. A Mother Stouffer original recipe. 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell 4 c. apples 1/8 tsp. cinnamon 1 3/4 c. granulated sugar 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. milk 6 tbsp. coffee cream (Jonathan, Winesap or McIntosh, ONLY - peeled, cored and cut in 3/4 inch CUBES). 1. Place cubed apples in pie shell and spread evenly. 2. Sprinkle cinnamon over apples. 3. Mix sugar, flour and salt together; add milk and cream and beat 8 to 10 minutes at medium speed in an electric mixer. 4. Pour evenly over all apples. Bake at 375 degrees for 1-1 1/4 hours. Serve warm. Makes one 9 inch pie. NOTE: This pie will be juicy - not dry as a two-crust pie. |
