"CUSTARD AND MERINGUE PIES" 
4 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 450 degrees. Prepare pastry. Beat eggs slightly with rotary beater; beat in remaining ingredients. Pour into pastry-lined pie pan (to prevent spills, place pie pan on oven rack or on open oven door to fill). Bake 20 minutes in 9 inch pans.
