4 1/2 c. sugar
18 oz. chocolate chips (semi)
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 lg. can evaporated milk
2 sticks butter
3 c. pecans

Cook sugar and milk over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Boil for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour over butter and chocolate chips. Beat until it begins to get hard or lose its gloss. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into buttered dish. Chill in refrigerator, then cut in squares.
