FRESH APPLE CAKE 
1-1/2 c. cake veg. oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
3 lg. grated tart apples

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c. canned milk

Combine oil and sugar, add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, salt and soda, add to oil mixture and mix. Add vanilla, apples and pecans; mix. Bake in non-stick oblong cake pan at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.

TOPPING: Cook sugar, milk and butter in top of double boiler for 5 minutes. Spread over cake while hot.
