RUSSIAN CABBAGE SOUP 
1/2 lb. beef cubes or ground beef, browned & crumbled
2 lg. tomatoes, chopped or 1 lg. can tomatoes
Cut into chunks: 2 carrots 1 onion 3 celery stalks
1 bay leaf
1/2 c. raisins
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. chopped parsley
1/2 head green cabbage, chop into 1" cubes
