CHICKEN WITH BELL PEPPER 
1 cut up fryer
1 bell pepper cut in rings
1 onion cut in rings
1 c. shortening
gravy

Brown chicken (unfloured) in shortening until golden brown. Remove chicken from skillet and make gravy in small amount of shortening. In same skillet return chicken and lay peppers and onions over gravy covered chicken. Simmer for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours.
