2 1/4 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
2 1/4 c. shortening or butter
5 eggs
2 1/4 tsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. flour
2 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 1/8 tsp. baking powder
1 1/8 tsp. salt
4 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 large pkg. chocolate chips

Mix sugars, shortening, eggs and vanilla in an extra large bowl until smooth. Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir both mixtures together until smooth and then add oatmeal and chocolate chips. Use ice cream scoop to measure mixture and place on cookie sheet.

Bake at 375°F for approximately 14 minutes.
