1-1/2 c. four
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. mashed ripe bananas
1-3/4 c. quick oatmeal
1/2 c. chopped nuts.

Sift together first six ingredients. Add egg and mashed bananas. Beat well. Add oatmeal and nuts. Stir to mix well. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400°F for 15 minutes.
