BUTTERSCOTCH PECAN CHEWS 
2/3 c. butter
2 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
2 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. chopped pecans

Melt butter and blend with sugar. Add eggs and cool. Sift dry ingredients together and add to cooled mixture. Fold in nuts. Spread batter in a greased shallow pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool slightly then cut in squares. Remove from pan when cooled.
