APPLE SAUSAGE BAKE 
1 lb. Polish sausage, sliced
1 c. onion, chopped
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 head cabbage, shredded (5 c.)
2 Golden Delicious apples
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. pepper

Brown sausage. Drain. Saute onion in 2 tablespoons butter until golden brown. Add cabbage and 1/3 cup water. Cover and cook 7-8 minutes until cabbage is tender. Drain. Core and chop 1 apple. Add to sausage and cabbage.

Turn into 1 quart casserole. Core and slice remaining apple. Arrange apples on top. Mix brown sugar, cider vinegar, salt, dry mustard, pepper and 1 tablespoon melted butter. Pour over casserole. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
