24-HOUR OMELET | |
7 slices bread, buttered 2 1/2 c. milk 3/4 lb. Longhorn cheese, grated (or Colby) 8 eggs Dash of pepper Cubes of ham Butter bread and cut into 1-inch cubes. Place in 9 x 13 inch dish with buttered sides up. Beat eggs with milk and pepper. Pour over bread, then put ham on top and cheese as final layer. Cover with tin foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Can be baked immediately or prepared up to 24 hours ahead of time and kept in refrigerator until time to be baked. |
