KATE'S CRACKER PIE 
12 soda crackers
2 crust pie
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Prepare bottom crust in 9 inch pie pan. Bake each cracker in 3 or 4 pieces in bottom crust. Dot with butter as for apple pie.

Boil sugar, water and cream of tartar for 1 minute. Pour over crackers in crust, sprinkle with cinnamon. Put on top crust and bake as apple pie.

You cannot tell this from apple pie - I have fooled many people, they won't believe it is not apple!
