3 sticks of butter (3/4 lb.)
1 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour

Mix together first 4 ingredients. Slowly blend in 3 cups flour. Mixture will be thick. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on cookie sheet. Press with fork. Add candied fruit or pecan half to each. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned, about 8 to 10 minutes.
