HIGHLAND CAKE 
1 c. oats (5 min. kind)
1/4 lb. butter (1 stick)
1 1/4 c. boiling water
2 eggs
1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1 c. granulated sugar
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda

TOPPING:

3 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Pour boiling water over oats and butter and let stand 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Pour into greased 9x13x2 inch pan. Combine topping ingredients and crumble over bake. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
