I used to buy these at a bakery in my town, but cannot find them any longer. It seems they had some almond meal in them also. Does anyone know of a recipe like this which does have almond meal in it? This is the closest thing I have found to the recipe I used to love from the bakery, and the icing sounds just exactly like it.

I just made a recipe that called for a quarter of the vanilla Extract to be substituted with almond extract, and it is yummy, I have had them with small chunks of what I thought was pecan, and they were to die for!
