ROUND STEAK SAUERBRATEN 
1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1/2 inch thick
1 tbsp. fat
1 env. gravy mix
2 c. water
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
2 tbsp. white wine vinegar
2 tsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf

Cut meat in 1-inch squares. In a large skillet, add gravy mix and water. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly. Stir in remaining ingredients except noodles. Return meat to skillet. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. Serve meat over hot buttered noodles. 5-6 servings.
